For over a decade the
UFO suction folding
machine has been the
best selling folder in
its class - not just in
the UK, but also in
markets throughout the
world.
A number of reasons
contribute towards the
UFO’s appeal. These
include: high
productivity, with over
30,000 sheets per hour
achievable on A4 size
paper, large capacity,
loading on the run,
proven reliability,
flexibility and a
versatile range of
cross-folding
attachments. In
addition, heavy-duty
construction ensures
that UFO folding
machines will give years
of productivity and hold
a high residual value.
The UFO 1 takes a sheet
size 640mm x 450mm
To ensure that the UFO
maintains its status as
a market leader, the
latest generation UFO
folders have been made
even better with the
introduction of two new
innovations.
A new 'head-up' display
control panel ensures
that an operator can
control virtually all
functions of the machine
from a simple to use but
ergonomically positioned
panel. These operations
include controlling
speeds, the gap between
the sheets as they are
fed and the amount of
suction used to feed the
sheets. In addition, the
controller offers
counting and batching
with total sheet
production indicator.
The new panel will
rotate through 180
degrees to enable an
operator to work from
either side of the
machine. This is
particularly useful when
using the optional
cross-fold attachments,
which can work to either
the left or right of the
folder enabling a wider
range of folds to be
produced.
The fold plates now
incorporate a digital
display. This shows the
distance the fold plate
is from the fold rollers
and can be micro
adjusted by 0.1mm to
give superb accuracy.
All adjustments
including tilting the
fold plate can be made
without lifting or
removing the fold plate
