The Zip
10M cutter/Slitter is a
unique machine designed
to handle business cards
and other multiple-up
products produced on a
variety of printing
methods.
The Zip
10M uses an adjustable
blade cassette to slit
the sheet as it passes
through the machine. A
guillotine cutter cross
cuts the sheet as it
advances through the
machine, driven by the
programmable paper
drive. The combination
of adjustable slitting
with programmable
guillotine cutting
allows common products
(like 10-up business
cards) to be easily
processed in a single
pass.
A 6mm
vertical strip is
removed from between the
two rows of cards and a
cut is made on each
side. The distance
between the blades can
be adjusted from 70mm to
105mm whilst the card
length is varied using
the programmable cutter.
This control allows a
scissor cut or a
variable size gutter to
be removed between
individual cards. Card
width is adjusted
mechanically and
additional cassettes can
be purchased at any
time.
The
machine has 8 fixed
programs and 2 operator
adjustable programs
giving the maximum
amount of ease and
flexibility for every
